Capture the current frequency as a net preset

Quickly save your current VFO frequency, mode, and filter settings as a tuning preset for a net entry in the Net Scheduler. This saves you from manually typing in frequency and mode details.

Before you start

  • Your radio must be connected.
  • The Net Scheduler dialog must be open (Tools > Net Scheduler...).

Steps

  1. Tune your radio to the desired frequency and set the mode and filter as you want them saved for the net.
  2. In the Net Scheduler dialog, click Capture Current.
  3. The current VFO frequency, mode, and filter are immediately stored as the tuning preset for the selected net entry. If no net is selected, a new net entry is created with those values.

What each control does

Control Purpose
Capture Current Button. Captures the active slice's frequency, mode, and filter settings and assigns them to the currently selected net entry (or creates a new entry if none is selected).

Tips

  • You can use Capture Current on an existing net entry to update its tuning preset without changing the net's name, recurrence rule, or reminder.
  • This is especially useful when you see net info posted on a DX cluster or during a contest and want to quickly save a spot to your schedule.
