Click the EQ tray button in the right sidebar to open the Equalizer tile.
Click RX. The button highlights blue and the sliders switch to the receive path.
Click ON. The button highlights green. The RX equalizer is now active on the radio.
Adjust the band sliders (63, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k) as needed. Each slider trims its band from β10 to +10 dB. The value label below each slider updates live. While dragging a slider, a pop-up shows the current value with a sign (+ or β) followed by " dB". The pop-up lingers briefly after you release the slider.
The applet remembers whether you last used the RX or TX view and restores that selection when reopened. On first launch, it opens showing the TX path. Click RX before adjusting sliders to make sure you are editing receive bands, not transmit bands.
To quickly compare equalized and flat receive audio, click ON repeatedly while listening. The radio applies or removes the EQ immediately.
To start fresh, click the Reset arc button. All RX bands return to 0 dB in one click.
While dragging any EQ slider, a pop-up displays the signed value (e.g., "+3 dB" or "-5 dB") near the slider handle. The pop-up fades after you release the mouse button, giving you time to read the final value.
To adjust a slider using the keyboard, use the standard arrow keys when the EQ applet has focus. When you nudge a slider with the keyboard, a pop-up shows the new value just as it would after a mouse drag. This pop-up lingers briefly so you can read the value before it fades.
The slider colors and applet background adapt to the active theme. The EQ handle uses the theme's accent color for visibility.
ON button does not respond β Confirm AetherSDR is connected to the radio. The EQ applet requires an active radio connection to send changes.
Slider changes affect TX instead of RX β TX is the default view. Click RX first to switch the applet to the receive path before editing bands.
Slider colors do not match the theme β Restart AetherSDR to ensure all theme changes are applied. The EQ sliders use color.slider.* theme tokens for consistent appearance.
